SPOTLIGHT ITEM

We’re plastic-padded envelopes. We keep your items safe. Help us out by keeping us out of your recycling bin.

padded envelopes

Who doesn't love getting a package in the mail? We keep your items safe with our soft lining. But our plastic or bubble-wrap padding means we can't be recycled at home or work. Please do us a favor and throw us in the trash.

Plastic-padded envelopes like us can be a big problem. We usually only ship once, so we cause a lot of extra waste—and you’re probably getting more of us in the mail these days. Reuse us as many times as you can, and then it’s time to throw us out. It might feel wrong, but you are protecting the environment by throwing us in the trash.

Not sure if your envelope or mailer can be recycled at home? Ask an expert on the Recycle or Not Instagram or, just toss it in the trash. Better to keep troublemakers like us where we belong.

Sincerely,

Plastic-padded envelopes

You can't recycle plastic-padded envelopes at home or work but you can:

  • Reuse them for shipping. Just be sure to take off old mailing addresses or barcodes.

  • Keep them for the next time you need to move or store breakable items.

  • Bundle your online orders so they come in one package.
